FALL FEST: A Trunk or Treat and Artisan Market Event
October 19 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Free – $10.00We’re hoping to host a trunk or treat and artisan market event for Saturday October 19th during the day. For this event to happen, it really depends on outside participation. We’re reaching out to you in our community asking for interest in participation for both the trunk or treat distribution, and for the artisan market.
For those unfamiliar with a trunk or treat: A trunk or treat event is an alternative option for parents and children to all gather at one large area (this would be our parking area). Cars are lined up trunk facing out. Festive decorating in the trunk is encouraged, but, completely optional. Candy or treats are distributed via the trunk side or outside of the vehicle. Families walk from car to car in a safe enviroment to trick or treat. People passing out treats are to bring their own to distribute. Trick or treaters collect from each vehicle and should bring their own bag/basket/etc to collect the treats.
This is NOT a car show. This is a family fun event. However, we will have a decorating contest with prizes!
We are looking for parties interested in the distribution end to bring their car, decorate (optional) and pass out treats to trick or treaters. Participation is free, but you will need to bring your own treats to pass out, and decorations if you plan to decorate or theme your car.
We’re also looking for local ARTISAN vendors to set up for a market on site during the event. We are not looking for MLM/Direct Marketing vendors. We’re seeking the handmade Artisan vendors ONLY. A small $10 set up fee would apply. If you need a table, we can arrange that. You are responsible for setup/takedown of your site and any sort of easy-up tent. We will not have electricity available for the vendors.
For this event to happen, we need members of the community willing to pass out candy for the trunk or treat, and also vendors to set up for the market event. If you are interested, or know of someone who might be, please share this with them, or reach out to us so we can start a list. Thanks!
